EcoEconomy is a way for Livingston to spend, repair, and trade with itself instead of losing money to companies that have never set foot here. Every repair kept local, every pound spent with a neighbour instead of a chain, is money that stays in Livingston and gets spent again — instead of leaving for good. And it's backed by more than a promise: real local green energy — a wind turbine, a battery bank — is being built right here in Livingston to stand behind it, not just an app and a database. Inte.Team, a local repair business trusted for 13+ years, is building and running all of it so residents and shops don't have to.
Two things move Livingston off today's baseline: the philosophy that gets people to actually reroute their spending, and the funding that builds the system making it easy. Switch them on and off to see what each one does on its own — and together.
Neither switched on. This is roughly where most towns sit before anyone intervenes — similar to Preston's 5% before its local-spending push. Money leaks out as fast as it comes in.
We're not launching everything at once. Each stage has to actually work before the next one starts — Livingston fully proven, before we ever expand.

Right now: chemicals for the Ni-Fe battery pack have started arriving, hoverboard motors are on hand for the wind turbine build, and we're looking for a collaborator to help build both.
