A new 4K TV at £249 makes a £100 repair look like a bad deal — until you look at what's actually happening underneath. And it's not just electronics: the same trap catches clothes, shoes, and cars too.

• The Cheap Goods Trap

  After £20/h labour alone — plus parts, and the risk of a cracked screen — a local repair shop's real profit on that £100 job is often just £10–£35. Cheap new goods aren't cheap because they're efficient — they're cheap because the true cost is hidden. Swap the TV for trainers, jeans, or a car exhaust and the maths is the same: cheap wins on the shelf, repair loses, every time.

• The Policy Deficit

  High commercial rates and flat VAT tax local repair the same as anything else, while cheap imported goods flood in subsidised. The system isn't neutral — it's quietly stacked against the shop on your high street.

  We're not waiting for government reform to fix this. We're building a local economic layer that makes repair cheaper, greener, and directly profitable for the people doing it — starting here, in Livingston.

Step 3 of 5 — The Solution

1 ECO Is Always Worth £1. Here's Why.

Every ECO Credit is backed 1:1 — by real GBP in reserve, or verified green energy. Built and run by Inte.Team, trusted locally for years with 300+ five-star reviews: the engine behind EE (EcoEconomy), not the point of it.

• Earn

  Bring a repair to a participating local technician, or help build the green hardware that mints new credits — wind turbines, Ni-Fe battery banks. Repair and green energy generation both put value into the system. That's the start, not the ceiling — as EE grows, we'll open earning to other local merchants and services too, from car rental to everyday errands.

• Spend

  Use ECO 1:1 with GBP at participating independent shops across West Lothian. No conversion, no catch — a pound is a pound.

• Protect

  A soft 1.5% quarterly decay on idle balances keeps money moving instead of sitting still. Redeeming ECO back to GBP costs:

  • Up to £500/month1.5%
  • £500–£2,000/month5%
  • Above £2,000/month10%

  Like a tax bracket, not a cliff — each band only taxes the portion of volume within it, so there's no sudden jump for going £1 over a threshold. Even at large volume, your blended rate stays just under 10%.

  Prefer a lower rate? Buy ECO directly with GBP and keep reinvesting: net £500+ bought over the trailing 12 months drops you a tier (10% → 5%, 5% → 1.5%); net £2,000+ gets you the lowest rate, 1.5%. Stop, and your rate drifts back up as older purchases age out — this rewards ongoing support, not a one-off buy-in.

Step 4 of 5 — The Roadmap

Four Stages. Built in Order, On Purpose.

We're not launching everything at once. Each stage has to actually work before the next one starts — Livingston fully proven, before we ever expand.

• Stage 1 — Core Foundation & Infrastructure

  Active
  • Structuring EE as a closed-loop community reward scheme under UK law — legal review is underway; we won't publish this as settled until it's confirmed.
  • Running on Inte.Team's own self-hosted infrastructure — Proxmox and Docker on hardware we control, not a rented cloud.
  • Building the credit ledger API and the ESP32 POS terminals merchants will use to accept ECO.

  Right now: chemicals for the Ni-Fe battery pack have started arriving, hoverboard motors are on hand for the wind turbine build, and we're looking for a collaborator to help build both.

• Stage 2 — Community & Educational Onboarding

  • West Lothian College and local high school STEM workshops.
  • Student-run device drop-off hubs on campus, with hands-on earning.
  • Dojo: free practical training in repair diagnostics, coding, and eco-assembly.

• Stage 3 — Closed-Loop Launch & Green Asset Backing

  • Asset-backed credit issuance tied to the Ni-Fe battery bank and wind wall turbine.
  • Automated telemetry-based credit minting — no manual entry.
  • The demurrage and extraction-fee safeguards from Step 3, live.

• Stage 4 — Physical Hubs & Intecracy Sharding

  • Physical "3H" Helping Hands Hub spaces — drop-offs, repair benches, green-power testing.
  • Town sharding: Livingston proven first, each new town gets its own isolated, locally-sovereign data.
  • The Intecracy Simulation Engine — testing real policy against real town-level data.
